2005 ANNUAL CONFERENCE 21
Continuing Professional Education Credits
NASBA continuing professional education credits (CPE) are available
for this conference. Sessions are designed for all levels of auditors.
A minimum of one year of experience is recommended. The program
is structured to meet the NASBA standards for CPE credits. The individual
participant is required for fulfilling any special requirements
of their respective state.
Earn up to:

18 CPE credits through their State Board of Accountancy

by attending the entire
conference (workshops and
general sessions)

4 CPE credits per each

the CIA exam review
AHIA is registered with the National Association of State Board
of Accountancy as a sponsor of continuing professional education
on the National Registry of CPE sponsors. State boards of accountancy
have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses. Complaints

CPE credits are based on a 50-minute hour.
Registration & Fees
Registration form available on inside back
cover. It can be mailed or faxed to AHIA headquarters, or submitted
online. Registrations will not be accepted by phone. The fee includes
admittance to all educational sessions (except for optional Saturday
and Sunday sessions); course materials and handouts; continental
breakfasts on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; Monday and Tuesday’s
luncheons; all breaks; the Monday evening Welcome Reception (includes
1-drink ticket); a conference T-shirt; and conference portfolio.

Payment
AHIA accepts personal or company checks or
credit card payments (American Express, MasterCard or Visa). Purchase
orders are not accepted. Payment must be made in advance. Registration
forms that do not include payment will not be processed and space
will not be reserved in sessions or for optional sessions/activities
until payment is received in full. AHIA will verify registrations
payable at member rates before processing. All dues and financial
obligations to AHIA must be satisfied to use the member rate.
Discounts
A group discount of $100 each is available
for individuals from the same organization at the same mailing address.
The discount applies to those who register after the first registrant.
Check the group rate on the registration form. Registration forms
for all members of a group must be submitted together. Nonmembers
can join AHIA with one low conference fee: $930 postmarked no later
than August 29th or $1,030 if postmarked after August 29th.
Course Materials
Course materials will be available post conference on the AHIA web
site under the “Members Only-Audit Library”. Paid registrants
will receive a password that allows access to the 2005 course materials.
Registrants for optional sessions will receive their course materials
in hardcopy form.
Airport & Hotel
Airport Shuttle provided by Grayline, at
a cost of $11 one-way or $18 round-trip. Departs Loews Vanderbilt
Hotel approximately every 1/2 hour, at 10 minutes to the hour and
20 minutes after the hour: 6:10 a.m. - 7 :40 p.m. Enclosed parking
is available to Loews guests; current parking charges for overnight
guests are: (a) self-parking: $14 per night or (b) Valet parking:
$17 per night. Taxi service is available to/from the Nashville Internal
Airport at approximately $20 each way; each additional person is
$1.
Autumn In Nashville
Temperatures range from a high of 78 to a low of 50. There is a
62% chance of sunshine. Area Attractions Check the Nashville Convention
Bureau web site at
www.nashvillecvb.com for the latest on what’s happening on
the “show scene”, as well as various area attractions
both in Nashville and the surrounding area.
Indoor Climate &
Clothing
Dress is business casual. Meeting rooms are air conditioned; it
is suggested you bring a light sweater. Bring your running or walking
shoes for Tuesday morning’s Fun Run and Walk. Remember: Wednesday
is T-Shirt day.

must be made before September 6, 2005 to obtain AHIA’s group
rate. After September 6th, reservations will be on a space/rate
available basis. The Loews Vanderbilt accepts all major credit cards.
Deposit or credit card must guarantee all reservations. The cancellation
of guaranteed reservations must be received 48 hours prior to arrival
to avoid a charge equal to one night’s room and tax.

Bell Staff can store luggage for guests who have checked out but
are not yet departing the hotel.
Cancellation Policy &
Complaints
Cancellations must be in writing and postmarked/
e-mail dated by Friday, September 2, 2005. AHIA will issue a credit
voucher than can be applied to the 2006 Annual Conference in the
amount paid less a $100 administrative fee. No vouchers will be
issued after September 2, 2005. Fees paid for optional sessions
will be refunded less a 425 fee per class if cancellations are postmarked
